Brief 2008 - The Low Down

Massive thanks to Ike for his creative skills on the ad.

What is it?

The main thrust of the evening is an informal industry showdown. Brief looks to bring together reps from each sector of the industry who will go head to head to prove who has the best understanding of the digital space. This will be determined not only by the calibre of creative ideas but also the feasibility and potential longevity and development of these concepts. This notion is supported by the range in judges that we have on board from digital heads to integrated heads of planning.

How does it work?

The basic format of the night will be an evening where planners, creatives, industry thinkers and integrated planners and PR gurus will come together in teams and go head to head tackling a digital brief that will be given to them on the night. Two hours will be spent putting presentations together with advice from the panel of judges, after which the work will be broadcast and a decision will be made.

Who's judging?

So far we have confirmed the following judges:

Amelia Torode - Managing Partner of VCCP and head of Digital Strategy
Adil Abrar- Side Kick Story
Iain Tait - Founder of Poke
Rachel Lawlan - Director of Integrated Strategy, DLKW
Richard Knight - Creative Partner/Founder, Mission21

Who should take part?

You! Creativity doesn't just lie with the creatives, especially when digital briefs are being discussed; therefore we're looking for anybody within the industry who feels they can stake a claim in the digital sphere.

We're looking for six teams from each sector consisting of 3-6 people.

What's in it for me?

As well as free booze on the night you will also have the chance to prove yourself in front of those who are at the top of their game and gain a moral victory for your own discipline be it old school creative or PR guru.

Where and when?

The Design Council, 34 Bow Street, WC2E 7DL.

Thursday 17th July - 6:30pm prompt start - 10:30pm approx home time.
